"FORD Q1 preferred quality status" for SumiRiko Poland

"FORD Q1 preferred quality status" for SumiRiko Poland

On 21 February 2024, a presentation ceremony of the “Ford Q1” Certificate took place at our company. The event was attended by representatives of Ford Europe, Mr. Robert Hoenen (Germany) and Miroslav Klement (Czech Republic), and the representatives of SumiRiko Poland.

Q1

We are very proud of this achievement because this "FORD Q1 preferred quality status" is awarded only to the best suppliers fulfilling a number of strict quality and logistics requirements, such as:

  • quality of products,
  • on-time deliveries to Ford factories,
  • overall organizational performance and plant management, including employees’ awareness,
  • continuous improvement.

During the ceremony, we also received the Ford Q1 flag, which symbolizes the hard work, dedication and determination that Ford's award-winning supplier has shown in implementing the required criteria for operational performance, both quality and environmental management systems. Ford has established its own quality system, known as Q1, to ensure the consistent high quality of parts across all plants, so that the corporation can produce cars of the highest quality to meet customer requirements.

Receiving Q1 certification, means becoming  the preferred supplier of parts for new car models launched by Ford and its group companies. However, we should keep in mind that the Q1 award is not awarded once and for all, it may be taken away if certain conditions are not met in the future.

We will constantly improve our performance to maintain Q1 certificate.

For the 12th time, POLITYKA weekly, Deloitte and the Responsible Business Forum have honoured Polish ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) leaders in the POLITYKA CSR Leaves. The companies honoured with POLITYKA's CSR Leaves were assessed in terms of their activities for the environment, community and corporate governance. It was also the second time that some companies were awarded Green Leaves, recognising them as leaders in climate neutrality.
In this year's edition of the list, 127 companies from all over Poland took part; our company won the Silver Leaf for the second time in a row. We were assessed on the basis of an analysis of our answers to more than 150 questions in a questionnaire, developed according to the guidelines of the ISO 26000 core social responsibility standard and in relation to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards and the latest ESG trends.

This year, for the first time, SumiRiko Poland was also awarded the POLITYKA's Green Leaf distinction, which is awarded to companies distinguished by their actions towards climate neutrality, for which reducing their negative impact on the climate, preventing climate change and adapting to it are strategic elements of their business activities.

LISTEK2022

SumiRiko Poland has been participating in the "Polityka" initiative since 2016, but so far our highest achievement was winning the CSR White Leaf, so we could achieve a higher level. The Silver Leaves have been awarded to companies that declare that in their daily activities they take into account most of the key solutions in the field of sustainable development, implement the highest quality solutions and disclose information related to their activities. The survey included questions about specific activities carried out in the company to implement the SDGs. In 2021, we intensified activities promoting SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), both among employees and in the local community, which may also contributed to the award of the Silver Leaf.
